Agenda 1&4 : Last meeting decisions and Implementation: Desk Convenor
• Four position papers NTA and CUET, Pressor of Practice , Multidisciplinary Institutions and MOOC were prepared. All the four papers have been prepared by Dr.Salim Shah, Dr.Dinesh Abrol, Dr. Shyamal Chkrobarthy and Ali Imam khan respectively and circulated within desk and EC. Our thanks to all the four experts.
• Requested the respective Desk Convenors to prepare the remaining position papers. The following have accepted to prepare position: Dr.Parthiba Basu on Agriculture, Dr.Raghunadan on Vocational education and Lawyers Aditya Chatterjee and Roshni Sinha on legal education.We have to find out persons for Skill Devt, Eng. and Tech. There is a proposal to request Dr.Sundararaman for writing on Medical Education. The topic on Teacher Education will be prepared by Dr.A.I.Khan. Putting in website and sending for translation to states would be done after webinars as per EC decisions.
Decisions: To have webinars on two position papers in one webinar each. The webinars will be held after Diwali. We can involve JFME and AIFUCTO and state Hr.Edn. groups as participants in addition to PSM representatives.. After finalisation of the position papers will be uploaded on google drive to be accessed by members. Dr.Prajval is requested to do. The dates of webinar will be finalised and confirmed in due course of time.
Agenda 2 &3: AIPSN EC decisions on NEP resistant movement: Gen.Sec.,AIPSN, Asha reported the Educational Assemblies from panchayat level to national level on the implementation of NEP-2020. She asked the members to go through the resource material for education assembly. Following which Convenor Rajamanickam listed out the campaign proposed on Higher education in the EC.
Decisions:
Implementation needs the following: Need a state level nodal person for this assemblies. Make students Assemblies serious by putting alternatives. Possible with JFME and other platform. An integrated campaign literature is needed which may be translated by state PSMs .One dialogue paper is needed to have dialogue with students. Target audience may be fixed-The dialogue paper may be prepared for target audience like UG students, PG students and Research students.Three notes of dialogue -4-6 pages of each note- by Oct. 30th. Issues on Deemed university and Private University may also be placed for discussion.
Agenda 5: Self Reliance Symposium: Dr.Dinesh Abrol reported about the one session on topics of Higher Education and Research related to self reliance. Decided to use these papers for our campaign.
Concluding Remarks: Finally Dr.A.I.Khan Chairperson, concluded the meeting by saying that the resource and dialogue materials would be simple and easily transacted Professional associations may be associated at state level and district level for holding a convention.
